PROXIPEL develops a technical innovation that allows the transformation of wood waste, branches and leaves into energy through wood pellets thanks to a truck capable of going directly on site. 

What type of energy is it? It's a pellet that can be used for boilers, and is therefore an abundant new source of energy in Switzerland. 

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF YOUR CIRCULAR PROJECT? 

Firstly, we're energy producers, using energy that we have in abundance in Switzerland, as we have so much urban and forest waste to process.  

Secondly, we're waste managers: waste that has a significant cost for the community.

Thirdly, we create jobs, locally. Ultimately, we envisage being self-sufficient when it comes to energy and creating a secure energy future.

PROXIPEL is participating in the Swiss StartCup Challenge for the visibility that this competition offers us. Furthermore, since we're in the process of launching our technology, this is an opportunity for us to make new contacts, and this is what we're looking for in the circular economy and in waste treatment.

Composite materials are everywhere – you know them more generally as carbon and glass fibres, typically used in sports, wind turbines and aeronautics. 

Composite materials are fragile and they crack. At COMPPAIR, we've changed the DNA of the raw material in order to allow it to be repaired from the moment it's manufactured. Whereas today, repairing a composite material takes over 7 hours on average,  it takes just one minute using COMPPAIR composites, and a small amount of heat.

The benefits of using COMPPAIR technology are a reduction in maintenance costs and an increase in the lifespan of these products.

ARBOLOOM creates cup of tomorrow with minimal material transformations, small ecological footprint, and renewable resources.

ARBOLOOM skips the water and energy intensive paper production process and creates cups out of wood veneer, a thin layer of wood that are 100% compostable and can be used for hot and cold beverages.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF YOUR CIRCULAR PROJECT? 

Did you know that there are 500 billion paper cups produced yearly?

In this context we use 50% less wood in comparison to paper cups, we have two-thirds less environmental impact and CO2, and additionnaly we create enriching humus for future plants and trees.
